The bustling town of Letterkenny and its surrounding area offers a variety of activities for all tastes:
Grianan Ailigh - A mysterious circular stone structure, which dates back to 1700 BC. The ring fort sits 750 feet above sea level and the views of the surrounding countryside are outstanding.
Glenveagh National Park (24 km) - More than 10,000 hectares of unspoiled Donegal countryside. There are mountains, lakes, glens and woods with nature trails and guided tours. The centrepiece of the park is the 19th century castle, with its ornate gardens.
Travel Information
Follow signs for Letterkenny. At the Polestar roundabout on the outskirts of Letterkenny take the 3rd exit following signs for Ramelton /Milford/ Downings (R245). Continue straight (through two roundabouts) for 3 miles & you will see the Silver Tassie on the left.
