I stayed here for 2 nights in April. To say that it was value for money would be an understatement. The hotel was in excellent condition, room, beautiful, staff professional and friendly. I will definitely be back again with my 4 year old son, as the hotel really caters well for families.
The only 'complaint' I would have is the price of the bottes of Corona. €1 dearer than anywhere else in the town. Not bad that that's the only complaint though!

I went to Clonakilty on Friday 4th May with my daughter and son and family for my nieces Communion at Rathbarry a beautiful spot ,we had a very pleasant stay in the Quality Hotel the pool and pool area was well kept and the staff were very helpful at all times, i have stayed at the quality on several occsions and never disappointed the staff in the restaurant were helpful and very good with the children also it is a very family friendly Hotel the staff at reception are also could not be more helpful to us i will be visiting again soon ,i was born and reared not far from Clonakilty it is a very special place and always will be left it at 18 but love the area Dunworley bech is worth a visit and of course Courtmacsherry and Timoleague very scenic area .

On arrival at the hotel the receptionist was very helpful and welcoming, informing us that dinner was included but the Restaurant was closed so dinner would be served in Oscar's Bar. The bedroom was lovely, very clean and comfortable but the connecting door to the next room was open. We contacted reception to request the the doors be locked and they were a bit surprised when informed that the doors were open!!! We also requested De-cafe Coffee which was not supplied in our room, we were given a jar of De-cafe coffee as they did not have any sachets which we appreciated.
Food in Oscar's Bar was excellent, staff were very attentive and friendly, we enjoyed our night. Breakfast was very disappointing, it would appear that the Chef who cooked the lovely dinner the night before did not cook breakfast.
We were informed at check-in that breakfast would be served between 7.30am and 11am, we arrived for breakfast around 10am and were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who informed us that breakfast was self-service there was a choice of tinned and fresh fruit, juices, yogurts, cereals and breads, to my surprise they even had blackberry jam (the usual choice is Strawberry Jam and Orange Marmalade). The food in the hot counter looked as if it was there from 7.30am that morning and it was cold. As I approached the counter the chef put freshly cooked sausages in on top of cold sausages that had been in the server, eggs looked okay, tomatoes looked dreadful and the bacon was sitting in oil/grease not very appetising, when the chef appeared again with freshly cooked hash browns I asked if she could cook some fresh bacon to which she looked at me and said Na.
I would recommend the hotel for bed and dinner but forget breakfast if you are looking for a hot full Irish.

My family and i enjoyed a weekend break in the quality hotel which has great facilities for families.
My two boys enjoyed a trip to the cinema which is onsite. There is a good swimming pool and jacuzzi and also a games room equipped with wii and xbox games and consoles. We also enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant which has a very good buffet for the younger children.
All in all an enjoyable break but not the hotel to go for if you want a quiet romantic stay without children.

Very pleasantly surprised that we really enjoyed our stay in Clonakilty. Wasn't expecting much but the hotel was lovely, bedrooms very clean & spacious, able to accommodate 5 of us fine in a family room. Swimming pool large & great fun for kids, showering area's very clean with lockers, etc. The play areas for kids was really good & my three kids loved it. The disco in the bar for the kids & adults on Friday night was great fun & we all enjoyed dancing away...in all a very enjoyable stay & we'll be back.

The hotel itself can use a bit of an upgrade...However, I had three small children with me and the facilities for kids are second to none. The breakfast every morning was lovely with plenty of variety. The staff were extremely helpful and I would totally recommend this hotel for families.

The best value for money break I've had. A clean room, a swim in the morning followed by a delicious breakfast. A wonderful town, the restaurants are 30% cheaper than Dublin. The only drawback is the 3.5 hour drive from Dublin. Highly recommend

Nice hotel, great for families with kids, food better than expected, friendly staff, would stay here again however would avoid school holidays, we stayed during an off peak time so it was just nice but I imagine it would be very busy with kids at holiday times due to the great facilities available for kids. Only fault interconnecting door to adjacent room not adequately sound proofed.

yes I we stayed in the Quality for a midweek break, we found it very relaxing and west cork is lovely. the hotel is very clean, but we had an evening meal and for the price it leaves a lot to desire. In contrast we eat out in Clonakilty town two nights and we were delighted with out meal.

Top Marks.Our weather was awful,but there was plenty of things indoors to keep the kids happy,leisure centre, indoor play area & the cinema.
Breakfast was excellent,great choices.Food in the bar/restaurant was also very good.We will return.Highly Recommended.

I love this hotel. Especially good for children from the youngest babies to about 12 years old. Pool, indoor and outdoor playgrounds cinema and another playground 200 meters down the road. Clonakilty is a great real town as well and not just an overpriced tourist trap like some others.
Food superb for all ages and it is great value for money too.

Hi there,
We spent 3 nights at your hotel complex in a 2 bedroom apartment. We arrived on the 25th of Sept. I found the staff very friendly on checking in and they made a fuss of our daughter who is 3. The apartment was ideal, it had everything we needed for our stay. Only faults were; smell of cigarettes and mattress on double bed not very comfortable but we rectified this by putting a duvet and a blanket on top of it. We had breakfast each morning and it was lovely. The staff at the leisure centre and play area were attentive and patient, especially when I couldn't open my locker, twice!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very at home. We will return and I will recommend your hotel to friends.

Four couples of us stayed for two nights Booking in was effortless which is always a good start Our rooms were spotless Went for a swim which was purely relaxing We ate in the bar on the first night The staff were excellent friendly but professional Food was fab Great atmosphere Had drinks in the bar both nights and the staff were so good Breakfast was also good The clonakilty black pudding was A1 Will definitely be back THANKS

very good. we had a big room as we had a wheelchair user who needs a hoist. we had to push the beds apart for more room and luckily the third bed was a camp one as we needed to get the hoist in under it. the staff were friendly and the food was very tasty. great location and a major bonus to have the cinema beside it.

This is about my 20th time returning to this hotel over many many years, I am a travel agent and mother of 2 kids aged 3 and 7 who like Mammy and Daddy love this hotel, The Staff are always smilling and nothing is ever too much trouble , The pool area is fab and the kids club is very safe and supervised by lovely young ladies who seem to really enjoy the kids. It's great for parents to have 2 hours in the day for themselves to eat or swim and know the kids are safe and having fun with other kids.
The restaurant staff are in a class of their own again any special requests for the kids or yourself is never a problem, they are simply very professional and pleasant. The manager of the restaurant is a pleasure to deal with and he seems to work 24hrs a day.The meals we enjoyed each evening again are a credit to the chef's, Seabass one evenig and Lamb Shank the next night , both to die for.
I would rate this hotel a 4* Enjoy!!!! Catherine Byrne

Service from the moment we arrived at reception was excellent. The room was very comfortable and the level of hygiene was superb.
We had food in the bar on one accasion and the meal was well presented and the food was delicious, though the staff could have been more personable. We had breakfast both mornings in a VERY busy dining room and the service was very good. I would however highlight that the scrambled egg was finished very quickly and it wasnt refilled for the time that I spent in the dining room.
Overall we both really enjoyed our short stay. We would stay again and we will be recommending The Clonakilty Quality Hotel to our friends.

My husband and I have stayed here many times in the past and no problems, but this time it started off that we had no heating in the room and it was so chillythat I had to take to bed in order to keep warm.( I had phoned reception to ask for the heating to be turned on, eventually 90 mins later it was.
Following morning no hot water until 9.30 a.m,Plus gripe 3;a line of sand behind bathroom door on our arrival,Ccleaners soon had that rectified. Perhaps a one off,we will have to wait and see

We always have a fantastic stay time and time again. It is the ideal break for those with kids. Our daughter loved the kids club and the other fscilities on site being the leisure centre and the Jungle Gym. Parents can relax in the bar every evening knowing the kids are welcome to play and enjoy each others company. Food is fantastic too and inchydoney beach is just a short drive for the sunny days. Very friendly and accomadating staff.

We spent a lovely 3 nights in this hotel with our 2.5 yr old son. This hotel isso child friendly and was excellent value for money. Our son loved going swimming in the pool and also spent a few hours in the jungle gym. It gave us a break and he loved spending time with the kids. He also loved the little playground on site where he got to me some more friends. As we had to pay 5 euro each morning for his breakfast, I thought it was a bit too much as 2.5 year olds dont have a huge appetite. Still, the deal we got with idl was excellent so we cant complain too much.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel especially for people with a young family.

hi,i stayed with my wife and 2 young children,had a fantastic time and couldn't recommend this hotel enough.The food was devine.The staff are without doubt the friendliest i have ever had the pleasure of dealing with in my life.My children had a great time in the pool and then in the play area both inside and outside the hotel.Rooms really clean also and again just to mention the staff were just brilliant,will be going back to this hotel without question.

We, a family of four enjoyed a fab three night break at the Quality Hotel Clonakilty. The food was excellent and the restaurant staff dealt really well with the special dietry needs of one member of our family.....Well Done! The children's facilities were great, incl the Kids Camp. Full marks all 'round, especially to all the staff of the hote and thanks to Lidi and the hotel we feel we got fantastic value for money!

We stayed there for one night last Sat night.5th Feb.....room lovely warm and cosy....excellently clean......fridge which was great to keep water.......had lovely meal that night....food lovely.......great value......didnt have breakfast even though included but got a bowl of cereal later which was great.......lots of children but it is a family hotel and it was sat night.....would definitely stay again for longer.....anne and john

Great for kids with fabulous pool area, younger kids play centre with climbing, diving into balls, etc constantly supervised and at 3 euro an hour good value. All serve yourself and no real waiting around for tea or coffee.
The only drawback I saw was having to walk past the 'smoking ' rooms on the way to the non smoking rooms. They really should make the whole hotel non smoking and be done with it.
Otherwise WELL WELL WORTH IT.</p>

<p>I found this hotel excellent, for families with children I would highly recommend it as the kids can be kept entertained for hours. The breakfast was great, typical hotel buffet with loads on offer. The only down side I had was I did find the bedroom a little on the dusty side!!!</p>

<p>Lovely hotel, great value breakfast and dinner. Little bit away from centre. Beds could do with summer covers - most Irish hotels seem to provide heavy quilts all year round. Fine big rooms. I'd give it 4 stars. ps fine pool and play areas for children.</p>

<p>We had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel was within walking distance of the town. The room was basic but clean and met our needs. The staff were friendly and accomodating. The meal was good. Over all it was exceptional value for money and will be availing of these deals in the future.</p>

<p>I recently spent two night with my wife and two daughters in a family room that was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner was okay but not great however breakfast was really good. The entertainer on the nights we were there was very good and we had a good laugh with him. The amenities for the children were excellent and they really enjoyed their weekend in the hotel. Location is also excellent as it is in walking distance of Clonakilty with its goods bars and restaurants and also close to some great beaches. I would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again.</p>

<p>We stayed in the Quaility Hotel Clonakilty on a two night break and found it to be most comfortable and spacious. The staff where very friendly and helpful The food was lovely.. It was within walking distance of the town and driving distance of the beautiful countryside of West Cork. We would definitley book again.

<p>we spent two nights here with our three kids aged 3,2, and 7 months. i would greatly recommend to a family. it's very child friendly with plenty to do for all ages. we really enjoyed our stay and will definately be going back.</p>

<p>The Hotel is in real need of refurbishment. The staff were very friendly and good. The breakfast was lovely but the dinner was horrible. It would be a perfect destination for a family but other than that there was little much for couples.
We enjoyed the surrounding amenities and Inchydonny but found this hotel to be dead.</p>
