Situated between the shores of Lough Cullen and Lough Conn Pontoon Bridge Hotel boasts some of the finest breathtaking views. It is nestled in a valley between two mountain ranges and surrounded by natural oak woods and forests. Pontoon Bridge Hotel can offer you wonderful fishing facilities - 2 lakes on our doorstep for both wild brown trout and wild salmon fishing, the famous River Moy only 4 miles away from the hotel for one of the best salmon rivers in Europe.

Area Information

Mayo is a lightly populated and largely rural county, lending itself ideally to walking. The scenery is spectacular and the variety of terrain interesting – some areas are level and easy going, ideal for strollers, while the hills, mountains and bogs offer a stiff challenge to the accomplished walker.

Great location, lovely room, food good and the real coal fire was a treat. Staff were very friendlyand the scenery is spectacular.

Stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Staff very friendly and could not be more helpful. Rooms were clean and very comfortable and spacious. Wonderful views as promised and very good food. Would recommend this hotel to anyone - they have a lot of activities to suit people of all ages and cater well to all tastes. Would stay there again. Great place to chill.

Lovely Comfortable Hotel. Fantastic views! Cleanliness was excellent. Staff were very friendly without imposing on your stay. We were offered breakfast in our room as a treat, which I thought was a nice touch.

We went to the Pontoon Bridge hotel on a 1 night DBB break. We had a thouroughly enjoyable night - the staff were extremely friendly, our room was huge and it had a lovely view over the lake, our dinner was delicious (we had sirloing steaks and desserts) and breakfast was nice too. You do not need to be a fishermen to enjoy this hotel, it is a "get away from it all" kind of place.

Lovely friendly staff at reception & lovely food served in dining room by really lovely friendly staff (agyna) lovey person very friendly & had a laugh with her. Room not great very old fashioned but clean bathroom spotless all in all a very relaxing and enjoyable stay would go back!!

We choose this hotel for a short break, one night Dinner B&B on a rather 'wintery weekend in Autumn', the tail end of houricane Katherina or the weather outside didn't interfere or interupt the warmth of this family run hotel, we were greated by the friendliest reception staff, escorted to our room with hello's and smiles of housekeeping staff on our way and that was before we were treated to the most idylic views of Lough Conn from our bedroom window. The room was spacious, comfortable and warm the ensuite had both bath and shower with constant hot water. The food was delicious both morning and evening, a warm athmosphere prevailed throuhgout this home from home. Ten out of ten - Pontoon Bridge Hotel ticked all the boxes for us.

We have just come home after a lovie week in Pontoon Bridge Hotel. The weater was not great but we did get some lovie places. This is our section time we have been dare and we will go again. it is a great hotel and the staff are all so nice and helpful. The view is so nice from most of the rooms and the rooms with the blacaney with the view of the lakes are wonderful. The only falt i found was they dont change ther manu when there is only two thing you like you get a bet feed up with it when you are dare a week.

The bar food was delicious. Having been promised a lake view I was disappointed that I didn't get it at first -but the receptionist did oblige us with one but its condition was poor. The toilet seat was broken. The room was very small and there was a step down into it as soon as you entered it. I thought the hygiene there was poor - but then they may not us that room very often. We Paid for dinner bed and breakfast for 2 nights but we were only offered dinner one night - that was disappointing too. For these reasons I will not reward it a star. I have no reason to return to that hotel Margaret Holmes

While the style and age of the rooms is a bit questionable (there were massive cracks on the walls and ceiling of our room) the hotel does make up for it with its location. Nestled on a land bridge between Loughs Conn and Cullin it could not be in a place more serence. The staff were exceptionally friendly as well without being artificially so. We loved it and if the chance comes up will be back.

We have just come home from 5 night at the pontoon Bridge Hotel tired but happy where we celebrate our 40th anniversary. The hotel is excellent the view from the hotel was unbelievable the rooms very spacious and the staff coulden be nicer. The only thing we were disapponted in was the Saturday night there was music in the bar and some people had a party and we could not get seats in the bar. We had to sit in the restaurant where we could not hear the music and later they closed the deviding doors and we could not get out to go to the toilet. So this was we give it only four stars but it won't stop us coming back again. John Pauline and Friends

our stay at the pontoon bridge hotel was fantastic, the staff were exceptionally nice, the hotel is spotless, the rooms very spacious & the view from the hotel is unbelievable, from the the moment we booked into the hotel we could not of asked for more. We had an evening meal where we believed the food to be of a high standard. All in all we would highly recommend this hotel & would some day love to return to the Pontoon Bridge Hotel

Superb location and a great hotel to tour this beautiful area. The hotel is out of town and on it's own right on the lake edge. The room was comfy and clean as was the bathroom. However the food for both dinner and breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. There was a murder mystery group staying and the young women were literally shrieking and screaming, to the annoyance of everyone in the bar. Another group were laughing and talking loudly at 01.00 in the morning right outside the bedrooms to the front. Management should see these issues and deal with them.

This was my second stay in this Hotel. It is superbly located, has spacious clean rooms, friendly helpful staff and serves excellent food. The 5 course set dinner menu is excellent value at %u20AC35. I look forward to my next vist.

Beautifully situated on the shores of Lough Conn, We were warmly and professionally greeted by lovely staff. Our room was superb, large, light and airy. French windows led onto a first floor deck overlooking the lake. Great food in dining room with wonderful views.
