Rooms well proportioned and appointed. Good breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly but a little stretched on our visit due to heavy bookings. Carpark - you are lucky if you get a place.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Mespil ,staff were friendly ,rooms were warm amd spotless ,
breakfast was lovly and it was 10 minutes walk from city center ,woukd totally recommend it
to friends a family , if i had one critism it would be the showers are weak and could do with more
power ,but tiny critism to a lovely hotel .

I was attending a course in Dublin and stayed in the Mespil Hotel.
I must say that it was an excellent experience from the moment I arrived till I checked out.
The staff were all very friendly, professional and efficient.
The room was fresh and clean.
The dinner was delicious and the breakfast was first class.
I could find nothing whatsoever to complain about, and if I ever need to stay in Dublin again I will certainly choose the Mespil Hotel for value and service.

Very pleasent stay staff were very helpfull and friendly.We had the 49 Euro per person sharing for one night b&b plus evening meal and though it had limited choice it was very tasty and excellant value.

Stayed here on sat night, the location is ideal and the hotel itself is very comfortable , however it is a little dated and tired around the edges.......our room was ok with a nice view of the canal. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was fine except for the orange juice which was not so nice!! Overall it was grand for the price.

Excellent hotel in a lovely location. Spacious room, good breakfast with a lot of variety. The staff were very good and helpful at all times. The room was also lovely and warm. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and hope to stay there again.

stayed in room 273, from the 20th to 23rd of this month, had a very comfortable stay.
the room was spacious and comfortable, staff were more than helpful in every way.

A very friendly atmosphere on arrival. Our room was spotless and warm (it was january!). Water, minerals snacks and icemachine just down the hall. I requested a gluten free selection for breakfast and the minute we were seated i was asked would i rather cornflakes or meusli!! That was a first for me, and a pleasant surprise, as most hotels dont cater much for coeliacs except for food that is naturally gluten free. Then out of the blue comes my gluten free toast, oh happy days.
Breakfast was all you would expect and nothing was overcooked or there for ages. Overall i could not find a fault with the Mespil (the price was great as well) and i would certainly recommend it to friends and family.

Perfectly acceptable hotel, seen better days but clean and comfortable with good service & nice, spacious room. Good Location for South City attractions. Beside the Grand Canal.. Many offices nearby, so handy for business people visiting that area. Good parking in the vicinity. Food was fine. Orange juice at breakfast though, was nasty stuff.

Excellent stay. My girlfriend and I stayed here from the 25th to the 29th Novemeber and i must say what an excellent stay. we found that the location was great for us. we went to the olympia theatre to see Gift Grub and was very cheap to get there as there is taxis right outside the hotel. The rooms are quiet nice and spacious. really makes u feel at ease. There is a luas on charlemount st which is located 5 mins to your left wen u come out of the hotel. It takes you into to stephens green and out to dundrum. The full Irish breakfast in the mornings ae really nice. I really enjoyed my sausges the best ive ever had in a hotel yet. We went to vicar st to see neil delamere on the sat night and what a night it was. only a few eureo to get there. The staff at the hotel were extremely nice. We decided to saty an extra nght as i had no work on monday and this is due to the fact that the service we received was outstanding and we were told when bookin an extra night the day before we left we would get it at the same rate even though it was more expensive. This is what i call excellent service and will be def returning with no hesitations.

We had a most enjoyable stay in all respects. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful and access to the car park was most welcome. The room was fine, clean and airy with sufficient light to work or read in comfort. The restauarant and bar were good with friendly and attentive staff.

The hotel was in a great location as we were attending the rugby match in the Aviva. Breakfast was really good also and there was an endless supply of anything you wanted. Staff were friendly and the rooms clean and bed comfortable. I would certainly stay there again. The only negative was the shortage of parking.

The hotel was very nice, the breakfast was excellent, the staff were very friendly.Our only disappointment was the hotel had advertised parking facilities but when we got there we were told the car park was full and we will have to park on the street but it is pay and display. the maximum we could pay was €8 which allowed us to park the following morning from 0730 to 1030. apart from having to pay €8 we were now time restricted to check out of the hotel.

Really good hotel for a good price, free parking, friendly staff, 10 min walk to Stephens green and clean comfortble rooms. This will be my first choice for my next trip up to Dublin.

<p>The hotel is very central, we got the no10 bus in to town but decided to walk back as it was so close. The hotel itself is lovely, the room was quite big and very clean. Breakfast was awesome! All in all it was a great stay at a great price. Will definatly choose the mespil again especially as we could park the car too!</p>
