This hotel is one of the finest hotels in Dublin and is set in 45 acres of mature grounds. It is 35 minutes drive from the city centre and 8 miles from the airport. Finnstown Country House Hotel is close to all amenities and major golf courses. Enjoy a fully equipped gym, a tennis court, an indoor heated swimming pool, a Turkish bath and woodland walks. Area Information

As soon as you approach the tree-lined driveway, the elegant peacocks seem to bow in welcome. This magnificent period house has a refined, relaxed charm that instantly puts you at ease. As soon as you step inside, the sweet smell of a turf fire burning in the old chimneys will offer you a warm welcome. For a little piece of heaven, the hotel recommends that you sip a drink on the lawn terrace under the gaze of some majestic birds as they idle by.

The Hotel is ideally located, just a 35 minute drive from Dublin city centre on the N4 and yet with easy access to the beautiful Irish countryside of the surrounding counties of Meath, Kildare and Wicklow.

Dublin's International Airport is just a 25 minute drive along the M50 motorway with regular flights to the UK and Europe and other international destinations.

Spent three nights in Finnstown House with two children aged 2 and 5. Really enjoyed our stay. Staff are lovely and really helpful. Hotel setting is beautiful. Rooms are very spacious and food is excellent. Lovely pool which is ideal for children. Situated in Lucan and trains/buses run regularly to and from hotel. Definitely would return.

Seven of us celebrated a 'big' birthday at Finnstown House Hotel the weekend of 15th October 2011. It's a beautifully decorated stately house full of old-world charm, but bright and comfortable, with picturesque grounds. The leisure centre is well-equipped.The dinner menu had great choice, presentation and importantly, all were agreed it was delicious. Breakfast was busy due to the great value break, but the selection was good (with healthy options!) and staff were helpful. The hotel is a lovely setting for a wedding, a romantic break or a base for shopping trips.

We had a family reunion on Saturday nite and had a brilliant time. We book in over nite had food in the bar which was excellent and a good price to match. The rooms were fab and also the breakfast was really good. I would recommend this to my friends

A lovely hotel, beautiful grounds. The staff were most helpful and pleasant. Rooms comfortable and clean. Food was first class. The only fault was drink prices in the bar-the usual Irish rip off. would certainly go there again.

Stayed here easter weekend with my partner and little girl. The hotel is beautful set in amazing woodlands great for walks. The swimming pool is lovely and warm shallow end and deep end which is not to deep. Food is good enough in the hotel the breakfast is great plenty of options. The breakfast staff very friendly. Would love to go back again my little girl had a great time she met loads of little friends. Brigid Wexford

Hotel and setting is beautiful. My husband and I stayed just one night with daughter in a family room in the residence adjacent to the hotel. room was nice overall shower curtain could do with a change and the heater in the bathroom did not work. Double bed lovely and big. Breakfast room was lovely and food nice too. Bar staff could be a bit friendlier but there was a wedding on so maybe they were just under pressure. Overall a lovely spot reception staff pleasant and helpful and I would go back again.

This was a great hotel. We loved the surroundings, the rooms and the general atmosphere of the hotel. The only problem was that the hotel was busy with Christmas party nights and that at breakfast the next morning, the restaurant was extremly crowded and we had a wait for service and for food to be topped up. Having said that, we are definetely booking here again.

I would have to say this was one of the best hotels we have stayed in in Ireland. Fantastic surrounding, excellent food and very helpful staff who actually seemed to enjoy working there! My husband an I stayed with our two children and we all are looking forward to going back sometime in the not so distant future.

What a lovely weekend. We travelled with our two children aged 7 and 3. They loved it and the freedom to stroll around the pleasant grounds was a bonus.....you would never think that the hotel was so close to Dublin City. The hotel staff were the best I have encountered in a long time, I must commend Steve, who worked on reception for his exceptional care of our family. It was a pleasant suprise and greatly appreciated. The family room was perfect for us with a superking bed and two singles. I would recommend this hotel for anyone thinking of a break in Dublin. Perfectly located for access to the M50 and Liffey Valley Shopping Centre. We visited the zoo during our stay and would estimate it about 15 minutes driving time. Thanks again to Finnstown Country House. We will be back.
